At Muirfield, we have an executive teacher, dedicated to supporting students in their senior years. The Head Teacher Senior Studies oversees a number of programs to support learning, engagement and well-being.
Through positive well-being programs, the Head Teacher Senior Studies fosters the emotional wellbeing of our Stage 6 students. These programs include Elevate Education; study skills seminars for students and parents; and leadership development. The Head Teacher Senior Studies works closely with the Careers Advisor to support students in subject selection and post-school options as well as organising minimum standards testing.
The Head Teacher Senior Studies supports student engagement and learning. He is available to provide individual advice to students and their parents. He leads the Senior Review Team; supports students with assessment appeals and illness/misadventure applications; and provides advice to school staff and students on NESA requirements.
