Muirfield’s Year 9 debating team, Zoe Stephens, Madeleine Carter, Johanna Huong, and Rex Urquhart recently competed against Parramatta High School the first round of the Premier’s Debating Challenge. The topic decided on the day was, “That all students should be required to undertake a course in hospitality or a trade”.
Muirfield’s team won the coin toss and was given the affirmative position. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, with the adjudicators awarding the debate to Muirfield.
