Real World Learning

Muirfield hospitality students entered the bustling world of a real business over the Easter break, working at the Rural Café at the Royal Easter Show. Students worked in the “front of house”, serving customers, and in the “back of house”, preparing and plating food.

Our students worked alongside students from Peak Hill Central School, a small K to 12 school from the western plains of NSW. Collaborating with Peak Hill gave our students a window into the different lives lived across our state.

Partnering with seasoned professionals in the hospitality industry our students gained skills and knowledge that will undoubtedly shape their future endeavours. We extend our thanks to Chefs Peter Kell, Philippa Mortimer, and Kristy Milligan, and to Ms Angleo and Ms Vassos for their unwavering support and dedication during our three-day journey.
